President / Owner and Director of Sales

Mr. Ahmed, founder of ICG, Inc. in April 2001, has consistently grown the company’s client base, revenue, and profitability since its inception. His background in the janitorial business is extensive; his grandfather, Leo Clarke, established a janitorial and supply company in Connecticut in 1918, which his father, George Clarke, expanded. His nephew, Randy Clarke, later became President of the company, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2018.

Before founding ICG, Inc., Mr. Ahmed spent 22 years at IBM, where he served in sales and as a sales manager for 14 years. He participated in numerous IBM executive management classes, demonstrating dynamic leadership within large geographic sales organizations. His industry expertise spans Distribution, Facilities Services, Construction, and Insurance. Mr. Ahmed possesses a wealth of experience in personnel management and process re-engineering, having successfully helped clients streamline business operations to increase customer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability.

Mr. Ahmed earned a BS degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Connecticut in 1977, where he also lettered in Football. IBM Corporation sponsored his Executive MBA, which he completed at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1997.
